HPTAC was created in 2009 out of a necessity for current and relevant instruction at the local level.  With the initial conception of HPTAC, our training was limited to private groups and word of mouth. Over time the interest level in our training inspired us to go public in 2013.  Every year, the cadre and instructors of HPTAC seek out the top professionals in the industry to acquire the most current tactics, techniques and procedures. Simply stated, we train with the best to bring you the best. This training combined with our real world back grounds and experiences, guarantees that you will receive instruction unlike any other in the front range.

Who We Are

Michael Lowe

CEO/Director Of Training

Michael John Lowe is the owner and founder of High Plains Tactical and Consulting LLC.  He graduated with a B.A. Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Military Science from East Central University located in Ada, OK.  Michael was commissioned as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer. While in the U.S. Army he served in the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) operating in various capacities  ranging from Rifle Platoon Leader to Assistant Operations Officer.  Among various military awards and decorations, Michael is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger School, Airborne School and Air Assault School.  His operational experience includes military operations in Kosovo and operations in Iraq as an independent contractor for the Department of Defense.   He has also been involved in the firearms industry since 2004 as a trainer and consultant.  Michael is a U.S. Army certified range officer as well as a certified instructor for the NRA, American Heart Association (BLS) and the I.C.E. Training Company.  He is also a graduate of numerous other professional training courses.
